Drug Free Communities' Purpose

Drug Free Communities (DFC) of Fond du Lac is a community coalition working to prevent substance misuse among both youth and adults. Through education, awareness campaigns, and community partnerships, we focus on reducing risk factors, supporting prevention efforts, and promoting healthy choices across all ages in Fond du lac County.

To reduce substance use among youth and adults in the community through education, prevention, and collaboration.

Participating Sectors

The DFC program requires funded coalitions to include active participation from these 12 community sectors:

  1. Schools
  2. Businesses
  3. Healthcare agencies
  4. Law enforcement
  5. Parents
  6. Youth
  7. Government agencies
  8. Youth-serving organizations
  9. Media
  10. Civic & volunteer groups
  11. Religious and fraternal organizations
  12. Other agencies involved with reducing substance abuse

Each member may have different motivating factors for being a part of Drug Free Communities; however, all are willing to work toward common goals.
